DAI is highly proficient in the RNG industry and is uniquely qualified, having extensive experience with technologies converting dairy, swine, poultry and landfill waste products to useful RNG. DAI’s experience includes working on fair market value appraisals, cost segregations, project performance test evaluation, final competition certificates and technology assessments. DAI’s  analysis has been relied upon for approvals in receiving USDA loan guarantees and in various financing applications, including project finance, lease and debt financing, and equity investments. DAI also provides Independent Engineering Analysis and Feasibility Studies to support both USDA Loan Applications and Investor due diligence.

DAI is experienced and capable of providing FMV appraisals and cost segregation analysis for diverse technologies, individual projects, portfolios, and companies. DAI has performed Appraisal and Independent Engineering services for over 3.9 Million MMBtu of annual RNG production, representing a capital investment of over $1 Billion. DAI has the expertise to address financial, economic, and engineering questions important to investors.

   Recent Representative Experience: DAI performed Appraisals and IE services for a large national RNG developer on two Arizona projects, which produce an annual MMBtu of 770,150 combined.  The appraisals performed by DAI were used to support construction and long-term Project debt and equity investments. The IE services performed supported both projects from pre-construction to completion, including pre-construction IE reports, construction monitoring, draw and final completion certificates, site inspections, Final IE reports, and conversion to long-term investment by tax equity investors.

Organic Waste-to-Value

DAI is well-versed in dairy, swine, and poultry  renewable natural gas production technology and methods. DAI has performed Appraisal and Independent Engineering services for projects totaling over $700 Million in Capital Investment in Dairy Waste-to-value RNG projects. DAI’s reports meet the requirements for the USDA loan processes and have been successfully used as part of the application process.

   Recent Representative Experience:  DAI provided Appraisal Services for three Dairy Digester projects in Wisconsin with a projected combined output of over 500,000 MMBtus annually, representing a capital investment of $150 Million.  DAI’s reports supported the financing of the projects and the successful application for a USDA loan.

   Recent Independent Engineering Experience:  DAI’s engineering team recently performed an IE review and provided a Technology Assessment for an anaerobic digestor for a multi-state developer. As a part of the Technology Assessment process, DAI provided an outline of the system design, equipment testing, established performance testing procedures, and verification of the financial model, for which our engineering and finance teams collaborated.

Landfill Waste-to Value

The number one contributor to annual methane emissions in the US is landfill emissions. These resources are currently underutilized and are a rapidly growing industry.

   Recent Representative Experience: DAI has recently provided Appraisal and Independent Engineering services for a large-scale Landfill Renewable Natural Gas project in Kentucky with an average annual output of 350,000 MMBtus. Both DAI’s finance and engineering teams performed analysis and provided reports used to support financing the project. As a part of the Technology Assessment process, DAI provided an outline of the system design, equipment testing, established performance testing procedures, and verification of the financial model, for which our engineering and finance teams collaborated.
